Professor Dr. med. Christoph Heitmann
Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeon

Prof. Heitmann graduated from Cologne University, Germany, in 1992. His early surgical training took place at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester/USA, and in Düsseldorf and Wuppertal, Germany. He received his Doctoral Thesis ('Dr. med') in 1993. In 1999 he gained the Specialist Fellowship in Plastic and Aestehtic Surgery ('Facharzt').
In 1999 he was appointed as a Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the BG-Klinikum in Ludwigshafen (Director: Prof. G. Germann). In 2001 he was appointed for one year as Assisitant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Duke University, NC, USA (Prof. L. S. Levin). In 2002 he returned to Ludwigshafen. In 2004 he became a lecturer of Plastic Surgery at Heidelberg University and in 2007 he became Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery. In 2008 he joined our Practice in Munich.
He is frequently an invited speaker and member of expert panels on international courses and conferences on breast aesthetic and breast reconstructive surgery. He has authored more than 60 publications in journals and books. From 2005 -2007 he served as a member of the Board of the German Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons. In 2016 he was elected as member of the German Society of Senology (DGS). Currently he is the German Delegate for EURAPS.
